Exif Pilot Pro Editor's Review

Exif Pilot Pro allows you to view, create, and edit EXIF data contained by your pictures. All new photo cameras record information about the current camera settings, the time a picture is taken, the camera make and model, and so on. This data can be analysed using Exif Pilot Pro.

The application which you can download on this web page is only a demo version. The demo only allows you to view EXIF and IPTC (a method of storing textual information in images) data. If you want the full version, you need to buy it. The full version also allows you to edit the data.

The user interface is structured very nicely. On the left side, you have an explorer-like tree, which lists the folders on your computer. It can also be used to access computers from your network. On the right, both a preview and the properties of each image are shown. In the middle, a list of all the pictures from the currently selected folder is displayed. This list is very similar to the details view in Windows Explorer, the only difference being that you can customize which details to display.

Pluses: You can also use the program from the command line, in order to edit EXIF and IPTC information. Another neat feature allows you to export and import EXIF data.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: The demo version of Exif Pilot Pro can be used indefinitely for viewing picture information. It doesn't contain any time limitation.
